Finder stuck/frozen in MacOs Sonoma

Finder stuck/frozen. I've had Sonoma for more a few days and its been slower than Ventura (by far the worst update) but tolerable.

Anyways today finder started malfunctioning and I tried relaunching it several times, restarting my mac (in safe mode and all to no avail)

I have seen finder working flimsy since the update. Also something strange when I went to install a new copy of macos it offered me to install Ventura (weird since i already had Sonoma), and when i tried it said i can't install an earlier copy than the one on the disk which is expected..

Anyways, has anyone found a solution to this, maybe im missing something because i am trying to do a backup through terminal but it's also malfunctioning for some reason and getting stuck midways so it'd be sweet to solve this without having to do a hard reset and maybe loosing alot of work.
