How do you turn off two factor authentication?

Two factor authentication is really annoying and it makes it hard to sign into an account, especially when I don't have a phone. My two factor is connected to my mother's phone and we both are pretty sick of it.

  • If you're already using two-factor authentication with your Apple ID, you can't turn it off. If you updated to two-factor authentication inadvertently, you can turn it off within two weeks of enrollment.
