Yes, the iPhone 7 cannot run iOS 16. Yes, the iPhone 7 will not offer you an upgrade to iOS 16. Yes, if you want to run anything higher than the latest release of iOS 15, you will need a newer iPhone.

Good for you. However, you're going to be so disappointed when that Android you buy, can't be updated after even fewer years, than an iPhone. You have an 8 year old iPhone. Expecting a phone which is that old to be able to be updated forever is expecting the impossible. Android doesn't offer updates for phones that old either. And Android typically ends updates for devices sooner than Apple does. But enjoy whatever you think is the best option for you.

Apple did not change anything on your iPhone 7. Ask yourself a simple question......."what changed?"

The Microsoft developers decided that Outlook would no longer support iOS 15. It would have been very easy for them to continue to support iOS 15 with Outlook, but they decided to pull support for iOS 15.
Ask Microsoft to release an updated version of Outlook that will support iOS 15.

Post this on the Microsoft Support forums, or send feedback to Microsoft. Microsoft controls what version of iOS their apps require.
