how to add airpods to my apple ID without an iphone

I do not have a MAC or an iPhone, but I do have AirPods. How can I associate them with my Apple ID from my Dell or Samsung Phone?

Hey there jlroza28,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

In order to associate your AirPods with your Apple ID, they would need to be paired with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac that is signed in with your Apple ID.

You can still pair them with other non-Apple devices with the steps shown in this link here: Pair AirPods with a non-Apple device - Apple Support

To set up your AirPods with an Android phone or other non-Apple device, follow these steps:
1. On your non-Apple device, make sure that Bluetooth is on (on an Android device, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth).
2. Do one of the following:
* AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the AirPods case for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
* AirPods Max: Press and hold the noise control button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
3. When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them.

We hope that's able to help.

Have a great day!
