cant cancel backservice app pop up

after just upgraded to mac monterey backservice app pop up asks to install. when i click cancel it just keeps coming back. shut down and its still there. there is no backservice app anywhere in the systen or applications folder. how do i get rid of this?

Start with this if IntelMac...


Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.


Run MalwareBytes.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

thanks so much for your help. The pop up still come up in safe mode but i can cancel it and it doesnt come back. when i restart in normal mode its back, over and over andwont cancel. malwarebytes found nothing. i suppose i could just run in safe mode all the time. or maybe upgrade to the OS after montery, not sure if all the bugs are fixed tho.
