I'm importing cd's to Music on my MacBook Air (Sonoma), but I like to edit the metadata before importing the cd/album. Music keeps automatically importing the cd, and I have to remember to "stop importing" before I start editing the metadata. It's not a serious issue, but it's annoying, and it never happened in iTunes on my previous Mac. Thanks.

This happens to me when I don't have a CD drive connected with a CD in it. Try connecting the CD drive (you might even have to put a CD in and just stop the import but leave the CD in there) and then go to the settings and see if you have the option.
Thanks for responding so quickly. Unfortunately, in Music Settings, General, I don't see any of the options "Show CD," "Import CD," "Play CD", etc.
When I pop in a cd, the information comes up, and within moments, Music begins importing the CD. I'm not given a choice about what to do with the cd, such as what's shown in the following:
