Is there a way to disable automatic cd import in Music on a Macbook Air running Sonoma?

I'm importing cd's to Music on my MacBook Air (Sonoma), but I like to edit the metadata before importing the cd/album. Music keeps automatically importing the cd, and I have to remember to "stop importing" before I start editing the metadata. It's not a serious issue, but it's annoying, and it never happened in iTunes on my previous Mac. Thanks.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Unfortunately, in Music Settings, General, I don't see any of the options "Show CD," "Import CD," "Play CD", etc.



When I pop in a cd, the information comes up, and within moments, Music begins importing the CD. I'm not given a choice about what to do with the cd, such as what's shown in the following:
