Macbook repeatedly crashes
Macbook Pro i5 core 2017 running Ventura 13.6 repeatedly crashes with this message:
CPU Machine Check Architecture Error Dump.

To rule out a software cause download and run Etrecheck. Be sure to give it Full Disk access before running.
Copy and paste the results into your reply. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.
Copy the report
and use the Additional Text button to paste the report in your reply.
Then we can evaluate the report to see if we can determine if there's any software component to the problem.

it could well be an indicator of a hardware issue...
however why guess—take it in and make an informed decision

Etrecheck diagnosed a battery fault and some minor issues. The laptop is termed 'vintage'. Therefore I will ask how much a battery replacement will cost en then decide whether to purchase a new laptop.
