Apple watch pausing or quitting walking activity
Apple Watch ex fitness mode by itself and pauses work out when using outdoor walking mode. Does not happen on elliptical or other activities. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

You can use these steps to turn off the auto-pause function:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap Workout, tap Auto-Pause, then turn off Auto-Pause.

When you're doing a workout like a walk, the Apple Watch will use the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to determine your arm swing and estimate your workout progress. To keep your results the most accurate and prevent the workout from pausing, make sure that you are walking with a normal arm swing. If you're not moving your arms while walking, like keeping your hands in your pockets for example, the workout results won't be very accurate and the watch may think you're not actively working out, therefore it automatically pauses it. Again, turning off the auto-pause setting will totally prevent that from happening, but for the actual workout data accuracy make sure you're walking with a normal, free arm swing.
