podcast subscription removed by provider

I purchased an annual subscription to a podcast on 23 July 2023. In early October, the podcast provider removed the subscription. The subscription is no longer available to purchase and I’m no longer benefitting from the ad-free content that this subscription provided.

Will I get an automatic, pro-rata refund from Apple? It seems I can’t request a refund via the online refund process due to when the subscription was purchased.

I can only suggest you contact Podcasts Support - if you can: some people have reported not being able to contact tbhem unless they themselves have a podcast.

If you are unable to contact them you should try general Support: they tend not to want to deal with podcasting problems but as a customer who has paid money you should persist, asking for it to be escalated if necessary.
