Contact cards received via AirDrop no longer appearing in Contacts a week later

Last week, I had a couple on new contacts airdropped to my iphone 13. This week when I go to call them up, they aren't there - and yes I do know they were in the phone when they were first airdropped.

I'm just wondering if they got saved elsewhere on the phone? Nothing in 'Files'. Is there anywhere else they may be, or weren't saved for some reason?

Thanks

Hey there davey17x,

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

When you have contact information shared with you via AirDrop, it should automatically send that information to your Contacts app. However, when it is first shared, you will see the contact info and be able to make any changes before tapping "Save" in the upper, right hand corner of the screen. If you don't tap "Save" then it will not create a new contact card for that information and it will not be saved on your device. It may be possible that you viewed the contact info when it was initially shared but didn't tap "Save" and so it wasn't stored on your device.

We hope this information is useful.

Cheers.
