Playing music tracks and vidoes in itunes

Have set itunes a my default player but windows wont allow me to open videos and music track with itunes.

iTunes for Windows Just Skips Everything I have an Apple Music account that is essentially unusable on Windows. Here I'm required to use iTunes and it simply doesn't work. When I press play on ANYTHING, the program simply skips the song. It shows briefly in the title bar and then nothing. If I play a playlist, its skips everything. I have windows 7 and iTunes. I have music in zip format and I cannot get iTunes to recognize it. It opens the music with iTunes but when I close iTunes and reopen iTunes to listen to said music it states unable to locate. I have windows 7and iTunes. A very small amount of music shows under Songs, I think recently purchased songs only. Uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled with no improvement. Library is resident on PC and appears to be at location listed under Edit>Preferences>General. HELP!
