How do I refresh the inbox? Or is it automatically refreshed?

I just switched to the Mail app, after using webmail. On my webmail app I can click to refresh the inbox. I can't find a way to do that on Mail. Maybe I don't ever need to do this, if it's automatically refreshed?

Launch Mail and let it check for new mail, or manually select Get Mail from the Mail toolbar. Any undelivered Mail will be processed and the Inbox updated. If there is no Mail to deliver, then there is no point in refreshing the Inbox as nothing has changed. If you deleted or moved any messages, the following Inbox Mail items will just shift upward.
