MacMail Issue

The Contacts app can be opened from the dock at the bottom of your screen.

The Mail app uses the information from Contacts app to populate the address fields.

Wondering if there is a card for yourself in the "Contacts" app on the Mac that may need editing to correct details.

Else if there is no card at all, perhaps adding one with your correct gmail details may help.

Getting Mail Info Correct:

Use a New App Password:

Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended to fix). Go here for gmail: Sign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help - Goog

Each contact listed in the sidebar of Contacts reveals a "card" when clicked.

These "cards" can be exported for use elsewhere.

Your personal card in the "Contacts" app, should list your Gmail address for use in the Mail app.
