Apple Watch stuck in the pairing loop

Trying to re-pair my new apple watch 4 with my iphone 12 pro max, the watch says "please continue setup on iPhone." However, my phone is not pairing to it. I press the Reset button and it loads as if it's unpairing but it is stuck here . It's been doing this for hours and will not let me move forward and is not visible in my phone! Help!
