Is the Lacie mobile drive secure compatible with the MacBook Air M2 (2022)? I purchased it from Apple because Apple Store said it was. Now I'm having trouble using it.

Actually, the best thing you can do with any external hard drive upon setting it up for the first time is to format it. Doing this rids it of the bloatware that drive manufacturers are paid to preload on it.

The LaCie mobile drive comes with software called “Toolkit”
You don't need or want it. It will just get in the way.
Ah...so if Toolkit is still on the hard drive....it wasn't erased and formatted?
