I can’t figure out how to turn my receipts back on one day they just shut off and only said delivered on the bottom of the message

It sounds like you have some questions about read receipts in the Messages app. We can help.
Keep in mind that whether you see a "Read" under your message depends on whether the recipient has that turned on or not. You cannot turn it on for someone else.
If they want to share the "Read" status, they would turn that on in Settings, and leave it turned off if they did not want to share it with others.
On the other hand, if you want to turn on your "Read" status for messages you've viewed on your iPhone, you can turn that on by tapping Settings > Messages > Send Read Receipts and toggle it on.

Why are my messages only saying delivered when I send a message out I have my notifications for receipts on and I checked another phone to make sure theirs was on too.
