Default Voiceover and Language selection

If one has voiceover and Siri disabled, how many languages are default to its standard software, curiously interested why I have hundreds if not thousands of random languages within languages, within languages. How many versions of English, within English, are there ? I don't want any. Looking for clarity . Thanks

Where exactly are you seeing this? Could you post a screen shot?

In general, since Apple sells its products all over the world, it tries to make them usable to everyone in it, regardless of their language. There's normally no way to remove these capabilities.

unfortunately, there are several voices in English that are installed by default and there’s no way to remove them but most of the languages you have to download. You would have to go in there and check each individual voice to see if it is installed and see if there is an option to remove the voice specific to that language. Although I do not know if those languages are installed once you enable voice over. Since I have to use it, they have always been installed for me just by enabling the feature. Samantha starts talking right from the beginning so I am not sure if that because Brian installed or installed because I enable that feature. For the most part they do not take up a lot of space the posters should be OK. Similar to Siri having lots of voices available but it does not mean they are all installed into you actually manually do it.

Hey thanks. I am talking about general settings voiceover voices some are downloaded by default for example I know "Samantha" but It appears as if the languages that are "available" for download will change depending on the day, some are blank with no nickname next to it, but for example, English has 20 variations and accents. I don't want any of it and have the voiceover disabled but want to block added language features

I believe he is referring to the voice languages for voiceover. If you go to settings, Accessibility, voiceover, speech, you will see a variety of languages that voiceover can choose from. For example, under English, I have American, British, South African, Australian, etc. etc. and the same goes for most other languages.

but these voices are separate from Siri voices. Although you can use the Siri voices for voiceover. Voice is built in screen reader for users, who are visually impaired or blind. Whatever you choose it will read back the content on your phone in that language. I use it every day since I am blind. this would be the same whether we are talking about an iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac computer
