Haptic Feedback on MacBook Pro M1 is lighter than before

Recently, I started to notice that the haptic feedback I receive after clicking the trackpad is much lighter than before on the same setting ie Medium. I checked the trackpad settings again and nothing has been changed.

I feel that it gets slightly more responsive after I switch to light and then again to medium.

It is possible that you may have a hardware issue and it needs to go back to Apple for service. You might try taking it into a local Apple Store and have a Genius take a look. The have more intense software they can run on the machine.
