I think there is a bug on the iPhone software. When I click on a photo on Pro Raw on my iPhone 14 Pro at 16:9 aspect ratio and export the file, the file is received in JPG whereas when I click the photo on 4:3 aspect ratio, the export via Airdrop happens in proper RAW quality.
Is someone else also facing the same issue?

Before sharing the photos in question, are you editing them using the Photos app by chance? If so then it would be expected for them to be shared as a JPG file, as described here:
- To transfer the original ProRAW file from your iPhone to another iPhone, iPad, or your Mac, use AirDrop. If you edited the photo in the Photos app and then you share it, you'll share a JPG file. To share the original ProRAW file from the Photos app on your iPhone, tap Share, tap Duplicate, tap Edit, tap Revert, then share the photo using AirDrop.
- To share an edited ProRAW photo with someone else, edit the photo in the Photos app on your iPhone, then AirDrop, email, or send with Messages. A JPG file that includes your edits is shared.

The problem is with the aspect ratio. 1:1 & 16:9 does not export to RAW even on Airdrop or transfer. They export as JPG. Only 4:3 aspect ratio Airdrops to RAW format.

We'd like to get an understanding of what's happening to see how we can help. To clarify, are you saying that when you export a RAW photo it converts to JPEG, but if you AirDrop the original file, it remains RAW? If so, that would be normal.

I am not editing any photos. It has something to do with the aspect ratio as only 4:3 is exporting in RAW. 16:9 and 1:1 is exporting in JPG even when it shows RAW on my iPhone Photos app. Are you'll able to export raw files on 16:9 and 1:1 aspect ratio? It shoot pictures also on 36 MP and not 48 MP for the 16:9 and 1:1 aspect ratio.
