Update iPhone 6s Plus

Your iPhone 6sPlus should be able to update to 15.7.8. To update wirelessly, select Settings > General > Software Update. If your phone is eligible to update, you will be promoted to do so. You can find more information below.

Even after adding the “Plus”, the 13.7 is wrong.

An iPhone 6 or 6 Plus can only go as far as the most recent version of iOS 12. An iPhone 6s or 6s Plus can only go as far as the most recent version of iOS 15.

The OP indicated that they were asking about an iPhone 6s Plus.

Not correct. The iPhone 6 can handle up to iOS 12.5.7.

The iPhone 6s Plus can handle up to IOS 15.7.9.

Your post indicates that you have been looking at information about iOS 17.

The iPhone 6s Plus cannot be updated to run iOS 16 or iOS 17, if that is what you are asking about.

Updating an iPhone 6 Past iOS 13:

A. You can't.  The iPhone 6 will only install to iOS 13.7. See here: Update your iPhone or iPad Software if you're Experiencing Issues with Location, Date, and Time - Apple Support. And, for the note, even if you could update, only the latest version will install: iOS 17.

So, what to Try:
