Has the overheating issue in iPhone 15 Pro been solved?

The “overheating” issue was dealt with in iOS 17.0.3 release. But be aware that it was discovered that certain third party apps were also part of the problem. Apple reported it was working with those developers to fix their apps. Then there is the technical part that titanium is a better conductor of heat than aluminum or steel. More heat dissipation means it feels warmer to the touch during operation.

To start, overheating can occur with some recently updated third-party apps, causing them to “overload the system,” the company said. Those apps include Instagram, Uber and arcade racing game Asphalt 9. “We're working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out,” Apple said in a statement.
Apps from Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Messenger) are notorious for talking up CPU time in the background.
In many people’s minds, including me, this so-called issue was overblown and overhyped by a tech press looking for hot button issues to publish. The vast majority of iPhone 15 Pro users did not experience this.
