How do I get my Apple Watch Cellular to be my primary location for Find My

When I leave my iPhone at home Find My still shows me at home instead of where my Apple Watch cellular is. I would think it is more important to track me with my Watch. Is it possible to change the priority of which device to use?

Apple Watch Ultra 2, watchOS 10

Hello dacmann,

Make sure that Find My is enabled for your Apple Watch. You can learn how to do so here: Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac - Apple Support.

Turn on Find My network for Apple Watch
1. On your Apple Watch, open Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Scroll down until you see your Apple Watch.
4. Tap your watch name, then tap Find My Watch.
5. Make sure that Find My network is turned on.

We hope this information helps you out.

Best wishes!

Hello dacmann,

Thanks for checking. If it's in the On position, it's on. Grayed out means it can't be turned off?

Back to your original question, can you do the steps found here: Find friends and share your location with Find My - Apple Support

"To change the device that you're sharing your location from, open Find My on that device. Select the Me tab, then choose Use this [device] as My Location."

Thanks.
