Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
I used to get this only occasionally. Now happens multiple times/day. I've done the volume up, down, and off switch, but that takes a while to reboot, and sometimes need to use phone quickly, like when I'm in the middle of a call. Is it time for a new phone????

It sounds like your iPhone restarts unexpectedly, is that right? If so, you can check that your iOS is running the most recent version as well as check your battery as outlined here: If your iOS or iPadOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - Apple Support
"Check your hardware
On an iPhone 6 or later, check your battery health under Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging.

Thank you for your reply, but no, this is not what happens. What happens is for example, when a call is being answered by a robot and you go through their whole message and just when you are ready to hit the number that they are asking for, the screen goes black, And you can still hear the sound, but you cannot make a selection because the screen is black. Of course, in these instances, a reboot is completely unhelpful.
