Magnets and phones

Will using a neodymium magnet on my phone case hurt my iPhone? I want to mount my phone on my dashboard in my car and I was hoping to do that with magnets. Can I do this without hurting my iPhone?

Magnet on iPhone case Hi, I have a magnetic car mount that includes a magnet on the back of my phone case for my iPhone 14 pro max. I was wondering if this would affect my phone at all (i.e. camera, battery, screen, etc). Thank you!

Strong magnets on back of iPhone safe? Hello all. I was reading through an old thread from 2020 and the 12 pro max. I have the 14 Pro Max now and was wondering if putting it in a case that has a strong magnet built in would either cause the battery to drain quickly, heat up or cause some other internal harm. Then It hit me. I had the same Rokform case for the 12 pro max and the magnet was not a problem. Well if you actually use the mag safe charging then it is a definite no way. But by far the best case for mounting on the motorcycle. 2 years that phone was on the road and when it came out of the case and traded in, they asked if I just opened it. All my phones and electronics are in as close to Brand New as it gets sans the shrink wrap. So a magnet on the phones magnet, It's safe. If you would rather have a thin strong safe case and plugging in the charger doesn't cause you pain. look into Rokform and throw you phone out the car window without a worry.

It won’t do permanent damage, but it can interfere with camera focusing and phone orientation for location functions.
