Is it possible to take playlists from iphone and transfer them to an external drive?

I found an old iphone that has playlists that have a cloud with an X on itunes. I would like to add these playlists to itunes so I can easily add new music as needed.

If I can get the music from the old phone then I would like to add this back to itunes on my computer.

Thank you

Hi Ed 2345,

thank you for the info. What originally happened was I was trying to add some movies to a very old iPad. I believe I accidentally deleted music files from the iPad which somehow deleted my music from my computer. Now all songs have a cloud with an X in it. Also most of my playlists have disappeared.

between my current iPhone and an old iPhone I have most of my music including playlists. I am hoping to somehow get the music and playlists from these two phones back to my computer.

I hope all of this makes sense.

thank you very much!

Hi Roksbug,

Adding content to an iPad can indeed remove content that is already there. But it would be extremely unusual for that to delete music from the computer. Have you poked around your computer using Windows Explorer to see if the files are there somewhere?
