Hi Rev Bev,
A screen shot will let us see what you see.
I am guessing you are doing this:
Table 1 with one Header Row, one Header Column, and "island" of data in an "ocean" of blank cells.
The "Island" is selected and a graph (chart) created:
Now you want to add more data to Table 1 and include it in the graph. Am I right?
Well, you can click on Edit Data references and drag the white dot down:
Done!
A better way is to use the Charm of Numbers and use another table with the sole purpose of holding data for the graph. More to come. I will post this in case the time-out logs me out.
Regards,
Ian.
The title of your post doesn't match the question. Which one is it?
To expand columns there are many ways. The simplest is to drag this thing (the = in the circle) downward.
You can also right-click on a row number and select to add rows from the pop-up menu.
If the last cell of a column is selected, taping Enter adds another row.
Hi again,
In the special purpose table, the are no blank cells. I clicked on the Column Labels A and B to select whole columns. Create the graph:
Now add more data to the table (click in the last row and press return. Type or paste new data).
Automatically added to the graph.
Regards,
Ian.
