My 2017 MacBook Pro has been having some startup issues

My 2017 MacBook Pro has been having some startup issues, most of the time when I go to turn my laptop on it will flash a folder with a questions mark, so I go into recovery mode and it says there is no start up disk, and other times after having this issue I go to start it up and it boots up normally using the macintosh HD startup disk, does anyone know why intermittently my laptop has issues finding the startup disk and other times no issues at all ?

Intermittent issues like that most likely indicates a failing SSD. This is especially common on the 2016 & 2017 non-touchbar models. These SSD failures tend to be revealed during power on and waking from sleep.

Make sure you have a a good backup since that SSD could fail at any time now.

FYI, you should always provide the exact model which appears in "About This Mac" found by clicking on the Apple menu. While the SSD failures are most common with the 2016 & 2017 non-touchbar MBPros, it can also occur on the Touchbar models as well.

See my other post here if you have the 2016-2017 non-touchbar model for some things to consider:

That Mac is having difficulty finding its startup disk and / or loading its content on occasion. There can be a number of possible reasons, but the most likely one is that it's on its way out. Other hardware problems may be contributing to those symptoms, but diagnosing problems that occur only occasionally is tedious at best. In the meantime avoid shutting your Mac down completely. Just close its lid, or ignore it, and it will enter sleep mode according to its Energy Saver settings. Macs just work better that way.

Back up your Mac if you have not done so already because the data it contains may suddenly become irretrievable. That fact is equally applicable even to a Mac that is working perfectly. To learn how to use Time Machine please read Back up your files with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support.

Re-Mount the Drive:

Boot into Recovery Mode (Intel or Silicon) . You need to click the “Mount’ button to proceed. So, select the drives, and then click "Mount" Try rebooting once more. If of no success, then click unmount button, and then the mount button. Try rebooting once more. It looks dulled-out. So, if you cannot click it, then click the First Aid button to fix this volume.

Please don't post your serial number online since a serial number is considered personal information which can be abused by unscrupulous people. If you don't see the exact model listed in "About This Mac", then you can enter the system serial number here:

FYI, the serial number you posted is incomplete, or you misidentified or mistyped one of the characters. I'll have the moderators edit your post to remove the serial number.

No, if the SSD is failing, then the only option is to have the laptop repaired which would require the Logic Board to be replaced, unless it is the 2016-2017 non-touchbar MBPro. A Logic Board replacement is very expensive as is an SSD if Apple replaces the SSD. However, if you have the non-touchbar 2016-2017 model, then I personally don't believe it is economical to even replace the SSD with a third party OWC replacement due to all the issues associated with that model as mentioned in the link I provided in my previous post.
