I purchased a second hand Mackbook Pro 15" 2017 i7 2.8 ghz 512gb/16gb ram....Ventura OS (always on my desk table with a open laptop aluminium stand open from all sides) after using 2 months it is overheating too much.... it is becoming too hot in 20degree room temperature. the fans are all clean no dust particles in it. vents clean all good but still overheating fans running at top speed all time. (I did this from macfans app)...What could be the issue can anyone please helpmeet out with this? I am afraid how much will this cost....

also I had to reset the SMC chip frequently 1 time it was not turning up and many a times it does not detect charging then I have to reset the SMC....

I keep it very neat and clean....

Run the third party app EtreCheck and post the report here so we can examine it for clues.

You can also try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

Also, make sure to disconnect all external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.

Edit: When you acquired this laptop, did you perform a clean install which involves erasing the whole physical SSD before re-installing macOS? This should always be done when acquiring a used computer (or any used electronic device). I would do a clean install even if the previous owner did it for you so that you know without a doubt the clean install was properly performed.

WebKit and Canva are the two items using the most CPU, Memory, and Energy usage so you may want to check them out. Make sure all your third party apps are completely up to date. WebKit is Apple's browser engine which is utilized by many of Apple's built-in apps which utilize online resources.

It also appears the Adobe software is showing high CPU utilization as mentioned at the end of the EtreCheck report.

The EtreCheck report also mentions high memory usage so it is possible you don't have enough memory for the workloads at times. After using the laptop and you start encountering issues, check the Memory tab of Activity Monitor. If the Memory Pressure graph is showing yellow or red, then it indicates your laptop doesn't have enough memory for that workload. If the Memory Pressure is green, then check the "Swap Used" and "Compressed" memory values listed beside the pressure graph. If "Swap Used" or "Compressed" is showing GBs, then the laptop does not have enough memory for that particular workload. Try quitting some apps to give your main memory intensive app some more room.

You may also want to run Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container. Within Disk Utility you may need to click "View" and select "Show All Devices" before the hidden Container appears on the left pane of Disk Utility. Even if First Aid says everything is "Ok", click "Show Details" and scroll back through the report to see if there are any unfixed errors. If there are any unfixed errors, then try running First Aid from Recovery Mode, otherwise you will need to erase the disk followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from a backup.

Also, OneDrive can cause performance issues due to how it accesses the files on the drive.

Keep in mind that when you are using another OS in a Virtual Machine, that it will definitely impact system performance because it will tie up CPU, memory, and storage resources. If you are using other system intensive apps, then you may want to close one while working in the other.

Multitasking Being the Culprit:

Activity Monitor

RAM is intended for multitasking. To see what is using most of the RAM view it using the Activity Monitor, Close whatever it is. Perhaps, it is a virus scan that is always going on in the background.  Go Here:  View Memory Usage in Activity Monitor on Mac.

Uninstall Security Software:

Moreover: Rid your Mac of any anti-virus and Security Software. It's unneeded on a Mac, as it just gets in the way. This is a pure example of it getting in the way. You are getting that message most likely because of the software installed that is used for managing your Mac.

Use an Uninstaller for the Software:

Removing Security Software from your Applications folder will not rid of it all, as much of it will remain in your system cache. So, contact the developer and request the uninstalle

Nothing much difference after doing that..... My Mac Heats Up the area above the keyboard... I think around the processor.... Do these MBP have Thermal Paste? Maybe I require to do that?

My Local Technician told that it is nothing to do with thermal paste...... he is saying that maybe we have to reset something like SMC chip or Mac OS issue
