Is there another way to print to a canon mg5250 printer - driver for ventura not supported

Hi I'm trying to connect a Mac running ventura 13.0 to a printer (canon mg5250). The printer comes up in list of printers but won't connect as no driver. There are no drivers vailable for ventura. I realise printer is old but it works fine. Is there any other way to to print without a driver? What happens if I download the last available driver for this printer and use this? or do I have to get a new printer? Thanks

Canon has drivers for macOS 13. Try those. The ICA driver allows you to scan from image capture. It also says it is AirPrint capable, so you shouldn’t need any printer driver.

Although it maybe listed by Canon as AirPrint capable

It does not show up as AirPrint capable from Apple AirPrint Site

About AirPrint

In which case follow pervious advise and download the Canon Drivers for Ventura

Hi thanks for the reply. I accidentally put the wrong printer on before so just in case you replied before I updated it - mine is the mg5250 (not the 2520 which I mistakenly put earlier! Sorry.) It says no driver available and it doesn’t have AirPrint. Or am I being dim 😄

Then I wouldn’t think the High Sierra driver would work, but worth a try.
