Ipad Rotation option

Hi, my monitory is physically set to portrait but I can not configure my ipad to match the rotation is there a software?

ipad while attached to a external montior not changing to landscape mode. Hello all, I am using my iPad for lyrics and when I connect to an external monitor via the HDMI , it works great. But... When I rotate my iPad to view my lyrics in portrait mode and not landscape mode , the monitor screen dose not rotate. Sooo I have external monitor on its side, the long ways up, so I can see all of the screen filled with the lyrics, I am still 90 degrees off of what I want to see. Yes the iPad works in both modes, but its the external monitor doesn't . Does anyone have a hack or solution or has done this please do let me know what you done, or can it be done at all? Remember.... I have the external monitor not sitting on the stand like normal, but its turned on its side, soo its longer up and down, like a very big portrait screen, and not as a landscape view. AL

While an iPad can be used in either Portrait or Landscape orientation, when connecting an external monitor to your iPad, iPadOS only supports monitors operating in Landscape.
