iCloud Folder Status Indication Icon - Circle with Circle Arrow

In Finder, I selected a bunch of folders from my Drop Box account and pasted them into "Documents" in my iCloud. I see all the folders in Documents now, but they're greyed out and have a circle with circular arrow inside. Additionally, it looks like the system indicates there's an iCloud Sync happening, but it states "Zero KB of 72KB" and nothing is changing.

1) What does the circle w/ circular arrow mean?

2) Is there a flaw in the method of simply copying a bunch of folders from Drop Box to iCloud Documents? Do I need to do one folder at a time...select contents within each folder, etc?

Hello Zuskie,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It looks like the icons you're seeing are refresh icons. There's a few things you can to test to see if you can regain access to your folders. Follow the steps below:

1.) Click on one of the affected folder's refresh icon. This might be able to properly load the folder.

2.) If that doesn't work, try refreshing things by restarting your Mac: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

3.) There are some additional steps you can try. Make sure your Mac is fully updated: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

4.) You can even test this issue in safe mode. This step can help isolate possible software related issues: Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Depending on your results, follow the steps under “If the issue continues in safe mode” or “If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode”.

We hope these steps help you out. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care.
