Sorting Bookmark Folders HOW???

Hi I want to put my folders into alphabetical order. I can put my bookmarks within the folders into alphabetical order but not, seemingly, the folders themselves. If I try and drag and drop them somewhere else in the bookmarks list then the folder gets swallowed up by I-ether the bookmark above or the one below where I am trying to move it - even if neither of them is highlighted this happens. Am I missing something or can you simply just not change the order of the folders?

I have seen this question many times while I was looking for an answer but the reply was always locked. One way to do it is to create a new folder called Bookmark Folders copy all your folders in to it then use the right click option to sort your folder then all your folders are in order in that folder.

Yes, as you've stated, you can sort bookmarks in Safari by following the steps here: Sort, alphabetize, or rearrange bookmarks in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

However, to your point, there is not a way to alphabetize folders. You can leave Apple feedback about this here: Product Feedback - Apple
