Is it possible to disable the "swipe down from the middle" search?

Because it is not just from the middle of the screen, it is almost from the very top (1 cm!) and I am constantly activating search when I want the control center.

This is exacerbated by the fact that my Apple phone case has a small lip on it, so swiping down from the top will cause my finger to skip the very top of the screen, and often activate the search function. I can't possibly be the only person to have this issue. I have no disabilities or coordination issues. (iPhone 14 plus, IOS 17.0.3 if that matters).
