How to disable the eject key on the keyboard?

Is there a way to disable the eject key on the Apple keyboard?

With the eject key being next to the delete key, it is constantly being accidentally tapped. It also seems to be very sensitive! There was a time when you would have to hold the eject key for three seconds, but that feature was obviously removed.

I did find an old post from 2016 with this same question but no one from Apple ever replied. An answer, nor solution was never provided.

There doesn't seem to be any information, instructions, or a 'How To' on Apple's website regarding this.

Are there any official instructions or manuals for Apple products, particularly from Apple, somewhere online? I can only find this "community".

Most responses to questions I have posted in the "community" do not seem to be from anyone who works for Apple, and honestly, have not been helpful.

Welcome to the Apple User-to-User Support Communities! Readers here are other users like you, with many different backgrounds and in total, an extremely rich and diverse knowledge.

There are always many more Readers than Answerers. Readers jump in and answer when they can make a contribution, and not otherwise. Queries that go un-answered means that despite being widely viewed, no one reading knowns of a reasonable solution for the problem posed.

Instead of the insult you intended, I will accept your comments on behalf of everyone who reads your posting as a collective compliment that Readers knew there is no simple solution for this issue, and therefore did not respond.

If you insist on a reply from an Apple employee, that is available here:

Official Apple Support

if you would like to suggest a product feature, that can be done here:

I already submitted feedback, right after my post. Again, you didn't answer the question.

Readers back in 2016 didn't know the answer, true. But Apple puts at the top of the page:

"Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question."

Which, I did, and then came you- with your not-so-subtle insults. Sorry readers are not good at answering questions for a company they do not work for. I never said they were not diverse, or knowledgeable, as you act as though I had at the start of your response. I stated the fact that in the past (and now the present) readers have not had useful answers. Maybe Apple could start answering questions?

I was also not aware that Apple would not respond if there was no solution, "Queries that go un-answered means that despite being widely viewed, no one reading knowns of a reasonable solution for the problem posed."

I am on the Official Apple Support page now. I cannot find the answer there. It's very limited. I had been there before and did not realize that was Apple's version of a manual.

If you are the only one responding, I would rather not have an answer. You didn't provide one, and you are rude.
