I'm trying to update WatchOS on my Apple Watch SE

I’m on my third attempt. It’s downloading unusually slow and it keeps pausing and saying I need to connect to WiFi. When I check, my phone is connected to WiFi. Is first gen SE compatible compatible with the latest operating system?

watchOS 10 requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 17 and one of the following Apple Watch models:

Apple Watch Series 4
Apple Watch Series 5
Apple Watch SE
Apple Watch Series 6
Apple Watch Series 7
Apple Watch Series 8
Apple Watch Series 9
Apple Watch Ultra
Apple Watch Ultra 2

I'm not sure, but I suspect that means Apple Watch SE (2nd generation).
