Cannot view photos on PC after iOS update to 17.0.3

Since I installed the recent iOS update 17.0.3 on my iPhone 13, when I attach my iPhone to my PC I can no longer view my photos or play my videos. When I try to open I get an error page "can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported or the file is corrupted. I have contacted Apple and they said my pc isn't optimised correctly to handle the new update of the iPhone and I needed to contact Microsoft. I contacted Microsoft and they have said I need to go to Onedrive on my iPhone and upload the photos saved on my iphone, once uploaded I then have to go to Onedrive on my PC and download the photos to my PC. Before this iOS update I was just able to connect my iphone to my PC and copy and paste. Does anyone have a solution please????
