How exactly are you unable to get it to work? Is it not powering on? Is it not responding to touch? Or is it something else? If it has a removable hard drive, then you maybe able to take ut the hard drive read it from a toaster. Look for one directly on Amazon: hard drive toaster

'Transferiing' info to a new computer is a REPLICATION operation, not a MOVE operation. The old data are left completely intact.

Your old data on the old computer are not modified in any way.
