Apple Wallet expiration date error

After a phone reset, I had to re-enter my credit card details, but I kept getting the message "Incorrect expiration date", although it was not incorrect, and it's the exact same card that I had been using before without any problems (so I know it's not a problem with the bank).

wallet credit card tap not working for one card The terminal says "wrong expiration date" - I uninstalled card and re-added it manually so I could type in all of the information, but got the same error. I called my CC company and they don't see anything on their end that would restrict it.
