Shady (web)sites open randomly as soon as I am in the browser

For two days now, as soon as I am in Broweser (Firefox), windows of some (shady) websites open. I have the suspicion that I have caught a virus.

According to another post from the community, I took some screenshots of "~/Library/LaunchAgents", "/Library/LaunchDaemons" and "/Library/LaunchAgents".

No virus, but your default home page has likely been changed.

Check and change it back if it's been altered. Malware can do that and the app MalwareBytes can get rid of it if present.
