My Notes has disappeared from my desktop. How do I put it back on there?

Somehow, I guess I deleted my notes icon on the desktop for lack of a better word. How do I put it back on?

My notes app is stuck on folders My notes all is stuck on folders. But not all of my notes are in these folders. Many are not there. How do I get back to the default setting of notes? I have a lot of important things stored there please help

I tried this already and nothing is working I opened up my notes folder and saw all my important notes disappear before my eyes and I have tried what you recommend but nothing is working whatsoever!

Try this: go to Finder -> Apps -> dubble click on Notes.
