Issue with motherboard or battery??

My iPhone 11 started showing the temperature warnings constantly and the battery drained very quickly. Even if I wasn't using it or it was charging, it would overheat and display the temperature warning. I cooled it and checked the battery health, it was 75%, so I went to a repair shop. They deemed that the battery should be changed. The battery was changed and the iPhone charged normally for a couple of minutes until the same issue started persisting even with the new battery. Now the phone won't turn on even if it was in the charger for a couple of hours. What could be the issue and how can I fix it? My Iphone didn't manage to back up to the cloud in time as I had recently joined a new family group, so I desperately want to get the data out of the phone. The repair shop mentioned that the old battery charged below the normal voltage rate, and the new one charged at the normal rate for a while until it also dropped under the normal rate. Could the problem be internally like the motherboard? The iPhone did show the apple logo today after plugging into a charger for a split second, but after a hour of charging wont show any signs of life anymore.

The phone has been tampered with by unauthorized persons using non-genuine parts. So, you will likely have to continue using the shop that you used before....or....buy a new phone.

It's a long shot, but take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop and see if they can help. Worst case, they won't even look at the phone. Best case, they might at least take a look at the phone if they don't know about the previous unauthorized service attempts.

You can find a list of authorized Apple Service shops in your area using the link just below. Good luck.

If the work is done by a competent technician, things like a battery or screen replacement do not usually result in loss of data. (Note that in the case of a screen replacement, the data is often already unrecoverable as the Lock Screen passcode has been entered incorrectly too many times before a repair is attempted).

Anything else will absolutely result in loss of all data since there is no removable storage. If there is a logic board problem, the logic board has to be replaced, meaning the storage media is replaced as it’s soldered to the board.
