iPhone Wi-Fi setting has a lock symbol, says I'm connected but I'm not

My i iphone has a little lock on wifi setting sayes o am connected but am not can connect all other devices l how can I get lock off. Had apple support and service provider support help already.

The lock symbol means that the connection is secure, it does not mean that Wi-Fi is blocked.


The most common cause of this is a misconfigured VPN, so if you use VPN delete the VPN profile from Settings/General/VPN & Device Management, along with the VPN app.


After that, if it doesn’t fix the problem, restart your router by unplugging it for about 15 seconds (many newer routers do not have a power switch).
