That is correct. Since a lightening iPhone does support USB Power Delivery it can be charged using a 15 series. I mentioned that I am currently charging a 13 with my 15 Pro Max

You cannot charge your iPhone 15 Plus with your iPhone 11.

The iPhone 15 Plus is able to either accept power (when you're charging it), or to provide power. The iPhone 11 is only able to accept power.

So you might be able to charge your iPhone 11 with your iPhone 15 Plus – but not the other way around.

iPhone doesn't have the ability to charge another phone at this time. Whether Apple will offer reverse charging at some point in the future, no one here would know as this is a user to user only forum.

You are indeed able to charge another iPhone with the 15 series. I know for sure you can charge a lightening port iPhone with the 15 Pro Max (charging an iPhone 13 Pro with my 15 Pro Max now). I think I read where you can charge another 15 series iPhone in some circumstances where the phones will detect which one has the lower battery and the other will then charge it but I’m not sure if the one charging needs to have a specific amount of battery charge before it can do it. Can’t test it right now because the other 15 Pro Max in the house is fully charged too.

Other way around. The iPhone 15 Plus might be able to charge the iPhone 11 – but that doesn't mean that the iPhone 11 can charge the iPhone 15 Plus.

I stumbled across the ability about a week after launch when my son forgot to fully charge his phone before we went to my other son’s football game. Out of curiosity I tried it and it worked. I then did a google search later that night and saw that others had figured it out. Technically the Apple article says it without actually saying it could charge other iPhones because it said it could charge another small device that supports USB Power Delivery. Just scanning through that article you would think it was saying only stuff that wasn’t another iPhone but when I thought about what it actually said it technically included at least the older iPhones.
