Using iTunes to sync music to iPhone 14 Pro Max, music gets deleted from device or never syncs?

I just upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro Max; before I upgraded, I had an iPhone 12 Pro. I had no issues with the 12. I've since started to see and realize that I'm having issues with syncing my 14 Pro Max for music. I'm syncing with Windows 11 iTunes. When I add music to the library a lot of music gets deleted or just does not sync. I have the settings set to sync the entire music library. I have to sync about three times before all music is back on the iPhone 15. This happened more often when it was being synced to icloud. I switched to syncing to the computer. Can anyone shed light on this? I am using Apple cables.

Hey there Cerrone68,

If you use Sync Library on your device, you might not be able to manually sync content from iTunes.

If you use iCloud or other services like Apple Music to keep your content up-to-date across all of your devices, some syncing features through iTunes might be turned off.

To see what can be synced, if you do not use Sync Library, follow here: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

You'll want to check if Sync Library is enabled as well, since this can prevent content from being synced from iTunes: Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support

Should Sync Library be disabled and you only use iTunes, feel free to reply with the following so the community can assist further:

  • Do you receive any errors when initially connecting the iPhone or selecting to sync content in iTunes?
  • Has anything changed since last being able to sync with iTunes?

Take care!
