how do i switch my device to this apple id?
i've created a new appleid, now I need to change the apple id on my device, how do i do that?

You would need to log out and log back in. Settings > Apple ID.
Of course, creating a new Apple ID is generally not a good idea as all of your previous data/content is associated with the "old" Apple ID.
