regardless of the light in the room and the brightness of the display, the touch bar stays the same brightness(dim). Ive tried to adjust the screen brightness, touchbar stays the same brightness, even with the keyboard backlight being turned up, touch bar stays same brightness. I feel like it used to be automated and this is the first time ive had this issue, havent restarted the macbook yet so maybe that will fix it.

well I never ended up restarting it and it is now much brighter, I honestly don't know what changed the brightness if it's not supposed to change but it was so dim to the point where I couldn't see it in a room with just normal lights on. but now it works just fine, I have a tiny crack in my touch bar by where the Siri button is on the far right and idk if that had anything to do with it at the time but now it works perfectly.
