I spoke to a technician at Rogers and this is the problem : We no longer support mac mail or outlook. You will need to log into the website or on your phone to use the email now. We removed the Authorized password feature. It was working until the server forced it to update. It was done the same time we added multi factor authentication....No unfortunately there is no way around this. If your other Rogers email's are still working. As soon as a change is made or the server forces and update they will stop as well.

Thank you for the additional information and my apologies for the delay in me getting back to you. What you are describing is a known issue. We have explored options with Yahoo regarding possible solution however any change would require a significant change to our contract agreement. Customers can continue to access their Rogers email via the Web Portal or Yahoo app. Accessing via MacMail is no longer supported.

First verify that you can log into the web version of the Rogers email account to verify you have the correct password.
Once that is done, describe the process you went through to add the email, such as choosing "Yahoo" or "Other" for the account type and if you used the full account name for your User Name. Have you viewed the Rogers Support Page on adding the email.
It's because you'd done it in the past. They're not supporting doing it now. Because technology.
But it continues to work on the Mail app on my iMac27 & my iPhone 15. Doesn't make sense that my new MacBook doesn't - and I cannot sign in through the Yahoo web portal on the new computer either. Freezes when you agree to authentication - and can't find a way around what seems to be a forced requirement from Rogers.
I have verified website and it’s working for one of my Rogers accounts, and I’ve tried adding it as other and yahoo. It was on there previously but stopped working on macpro but works fine on iPhone
