I bought an apple watch from a private seller and they removed the device from their account, but I am still unable to pair the watch to my device. How do I fix this?

Is there any other way to setup my apple watch?

The watch needs to be unpaired from the original owners device first. Even if they erase all contents on the watch, Activation Lock will remain unless the device is unpaired first. There is no way around this and you will need to contact the seller to have it removed correctly.
