My iCloud drive won't finish to download all the files

My iCloud drive has shown the round icon on the menuline in finder for a while and when I go to my iCloud.com I can't see the files there, they are not uploaded yet - what can I do to make it upload all the files?

People don't open issues on this forum the moment they experience a problem... unless Sigrid is 3 years old OF COURSE she's shutdown her Mac. I have had the same issue with iCloud for over a year. I have tried syncing, un-syncing as well. No fix seems to be available for this... albeit a very important and basic functionality of cloud storage.

Hi sigrid277,

Thanks for posting here in Apple Support Communities. You've reached us from a great article about uploading files to iCloud: Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive - Apple Support As shown in that article, the time it takes to upload your files depends heavily on your internet speed. Are you connected to Wi-Fi or using Ethernet?

Have you also tried restarting your Mac? Doing so may help to address the issue you're facing: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

Regards.
