ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED for almost of the pages
There is a very strange issue with a Mac. Even though it successfully connects to the Wi-Fi, it can only access two websites: google.com and youtube.com. Initially, the second website (YouTube.com) didn't load, but after approximately 10 attempts, it started working.
For all other websites, the browser immediately displays an "No internet" error page with the message: ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED.
It is important to note that the browser's response is instantaneous, indicating that the web browser recognizes the lack of an internet connection.
Here are some key points about this issue:
- This problem occurs with three different tested Wi-Fi networks.
- It affects all user accounts on the Mac.
- It occurs with all web browsers, including Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (though Safari is not typically used).
- Private browsing experiences the same problem!
- PWA websites/apps are starting but cannot access the internet
- When using the "ping" command from the terminal, packets are received from all websites. This suggests that the network appears to be functioning correctly. For example, running "ping netflix.com" returns packets, while the browser immediately displays the ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED error.
- The Activity Monitor shows that services are actively interacting with the network.
- Some desktop applications have internet access, while others do not.
- We have attempted to clean the DNS using the command: "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder" without any luck.
- NordVPN was there in this Mac, although it wasn't used from the main account, I removed it trying to fix this error, but eventually, it had no difference.
- Mac Diagnostics has found no errors.
- When running Safari through the Mac Diagnostics, all webpages load as expected!!!
